De loopsnelheid (m/sec.), het aantal gebruikte stappen en het gebruik van wel of geen loophulpmiddelen/orthese worden in een scoringsformulier vermeld. Indien mogelijk zou de patiënt deze fysieke performance test ook zonder loophulpmiddel/orthese uitvoeren. Voor de 5MLT wordt vooral gekozen als er te weinig ruimte ter beschikking staat.
